This design was originally for a printed scarf which I showed at my final show at the Royal College of Art. I took inspiration from Howard Hodgkin whose paintings I have always thought would make great textiles. I love the way he overlays patterns over colours over more patterns. Here I have attempted to emulate this with spots on top of circles surrounded by a colourful border.
The original artwork is part of the Victoria & Albert Museum permanent collection.
