This design is my response to the beautiful embroidered coats on show at the costume museum in Kalamata. The striking patterns are hand stitched in metallic thread onto velvet with extraordinary precision. I have borrowed the idea of a continuous linear design that loops and and curls into spirals and fantastical frogging.
This scarf makes a real impact with black, cream and blue curlicues printed onto a dark red ground, speckled with black spots. It bears my signature nestled within the border design.
