This silk scarf is one of a Limited Edition of 50 hand printed to order in our London studio. It comes presented gift wrapped in a black and gold embossed box with a numbered signed card certifying provenance.
This silk square is an exercise in monochrome – how to make the most of pattern without adding extra colours. I have long admired the ornamentation on the arms and armour to be seen at the Wallace Collection in London. It is of the finest workmanship, decorated with scrolled foliage, embossed scallops and etched leaves – all without the use of extraneous colour. My Tendril design features an intricate rope-pattern border, scrolling leaves and linked quatrefoils with an entwined tendril centrepiece.
The scarf shown here is printed in black on a yellow ochre ground with hemmed edges and tasseled corners as an optional extra.
