I have abstracted out various elements from the 14" Tropical Fruit lampshade to create this pattern on a carafe-shaped table lamp. To me it is reminiscent of a pineapple - the most graphic and beautiful of fruits. The striking black background paired with bright yellow semi-circles and cream spots make a stunning combination, specially when paired with the matching shade.
These unique lamp bases are designed to go with our selection of lampshades. They are made of turned elm and produced especially for us in Sussex. I paint each one by hand which means no two are ever the same – though perfection is my aim. They are all bear my painted signature near to the base.
After painting they receive a protective semi-matt varnish and are fitted with a brass switched bayonet cap lampholder and a classic linen-covered stripey cream & black flex.
