The Harlequin design is one of my more geometric patterns. It takes a lot of precision and measuring to get everything to fit together in a balanced and pleasing way. It also manages to incorporate my trademark cross-hatching. It goes well with both colourways of the Harlequin lampshade - Teal & Gold and Yellow & Red.
These unique lamp bases are designed to go with our selection of lampshades. They are made of turned elm and produced especially for us in Sussex. I paint each one by hand which means no two are ever the same – though perfection is my aim. They are all bear my painted signature near to the base.
After painting they receive a protective semi-matt varnish and are fitted with a brass switched bayonet cap lampholder and a classic linen-covered stripey cream & black flex.
