Paisley Leaf is inspired by a pattern at my grandmother Vanessa Bell’s house Charleston in Sussex. She overlaid a floral pattern over a large paisley design to great effect – so I have borrowed the idea. This vase-shaped table lamp is adorned with the design in green and gold and looks stunning with the matching Paisley Leaf 14” lampshade in green.
These unique lamp bases are designed to go with our selection of lampshades. They are made of turned elm and produced especially for us in Sussex. I paint each one by hand which means no two are ever the same – though perfection is my aim. They are all bear my painted signature near to the base.
After painting they receive a protective semi-matt varnish and are fitted with a brass switched bayonet cap lampholder and a classic linen-covered stripey cream & black flex.
