This hand painted paper coolie lampshade is covered in our signature Cross-Hatch pattern in blue and purple with golden dots on top and is perfect for pairing with our Palisade Carafe table lamp base. I am told that one similarity between my work and Vanessa Bell’s (my grandmother) is our mutual fondness for circles and stripes and this design is certainly replete with both.
Each shade is unique and has been individually handcrafted in the UK before being hand painted and signed by me in our London studio. The grey background is a versatile option which is elevated by a golden trim. Designed to be lit up, the blue and purple pigments in our paints pop when you turn the light on, bringing a lovely warmth to the room.
