I designed the Portico lamp to go with the blue and gold Clouds & Stars lampshade. This colour combination is a favourite of mine. Turquoise looks so great with gold and reminds me of gorgeous Italian frescoes and mosaics.
These unique lamp bases are designed to go with our selection of lampshades. They are made of turned elm and produced especially for us in Sussex. I paint each one by hand which means no two are ever the same – though perfection is my aim. They are all bear my painted signature near to the base.
After painting they receive a protective semi-matt varnish and are fitted with a brass switched bayonet cap lampholder and a classic linen-covered stripey cream & black flex.
