My 'Woman & Mandolin' cushion is based on a painting by Duncan Grant, painted on the bookcase in the library in Charleston. For many years this bookcase lived in my parents house so I grew up with this image. I don't normally do pastiche, but when asked by a Bloomsbury collector to create a cushion to complement his collection this image sprang to mind. I have changed several elements but I would say this is the most 'Bloomsbury' of all my designs.
These cushion covers are first printed and then hand-painted, so each one is different to the next.

Care:
For longevity of the print we recommend hand-washing the cover inside out using a mild liquid detergent. Alternatively wash the cover using a gentle machine cycle at 30°C. Avoid using bleach, harsh chemicals or tumble dryers to prevent the hand-painted pigment from fading. Air dry the fabric flat without wringing or twisting it. Iron exclusively on the reverse while the linen is still slightly damp.
