Joanna Lumley first discovered Cressida Bell's designs when she visited Charleston, home of the Bloomsbury group painter Vanessa Bell, who was Cressida's grandmother. Miss Lumley was appearing at the Charleston Literary Festival, and was delighted to find scarves by the artist's granddaughter for sale at the Charleston museum shop. She has been collecting and wearing them ever since.
'I was hooked from the first moment I tried on a silky scarf and now I'm addicted to Cressida Bell's work','says Lumley. 'She is a colourist beyond compare and her patterns and designs never fail to make me happy. The only difficulty is choosing!'
