Welcome to my website, which gives information and pictures of my work in many areas and mediums, from fabrics and lighting to rugs and illustration.
I am very excited to announce the publication of my new book 'CRESSIDA BELL'S CAKE DESIGN' at the end of May.
I have been decorating special occasion cakes for many years and was delighted to be asked to create this book, with its new take on the art of cake decoration. Much of the past year has been spent up to my elbows in a sea of icing, glitter and sugar balls as I decorated fifty new cakes. They were photographed at my studio by the very talented Sonja Read - who has also kindly allowed me to reproduce some of her photos here ( including two nice portraits of me ! )
To coincide with the book's publication I am offering a new bespoke cake decorating service though this website, as well as a range of ready printed sheets of icing for those who would prefer not to embark on their own time-consuming decorations. The latter will be available soon through my online shop, where you can also buy signed copies of the book, as well as a wide range of shawls, scarves, lamps, shades, cards, ties and cushions which I produce directly from my studio.
